GO BUILD AMERICA
Engaging, information & inspiring the next generation of skilled workers since 2010.
BACKGROUND & HISTORY
Go Build is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that seeks to keep our workforce strong and steady – and that starts by inspiring young people to consider a career in the skilled trades. Go Build is a comprehensive workforce development initiative that seeks to address the current skills gap crisis by enhancing the image of the construction industry and informing young people, parents, educators and influencers, about opportunities in the trades.
Go Build Alabama was launched in 2010, and as industry demand grew, the program launched in Tennessee in 2016, and California in 2017. Go Build’s national board is comprised of Bob Woods (CEO/President), Steve Sanderr (CEO, Associated General Contractors of America) and Mike Bellaman (President/CEO, Associated Builders and Contractors).
GO BUILD AMERICA
Go Build America seeks to address continuing local workforce shortages and provide a national rallying cry for our industry, by providing employers and associations proven outreach and recruiting tools (in addition to unique customizations) targeted at students and skilled tradespeople – with the full strategic support of Go Build. Launched in December of 2017, Go Build America is endorsed and supported by Associated Builders and Contractors, Associated General Contractors of America, and the Ironworkers Management Progressive Action Cooperative Trust (IMPACT).
